Albufeira - hotel near to Old Town

We have eventually settled on Albufeira for our hols this year, deciding for once we just want to go somewhere sunny and sit on a beach for a week!!!

I have read through threads here but it doesnt answer my question really!


I would love to stay close to the old town - Does anyone have any recommendations for a good hotel close to old town, close to beach??

Its just for myself and Mr A ............ however we are not looking for or expecting a kid free zone, so that doesn't really matter!!

I would recommend the Hotel Sao Vicente. We stayed there two years ago. It's handy for the town, and very close to the beach, and it's in a quiet area. Get a room overlooking the sea for a fantastic view. A decent breakfast is included.
