We had a false alarm recently when one of the monitors was accidently dislodged. It was replaced successsfully. However, the alarm does not set now. There is a permanent message in the display showing "Block 3 ALM" and the Alarm LED shows continuous red.
I spoke to our alarm service company and they said they would need to call out to inspect the unit and that the call out charge is €220. I have a strong suspicion that they will simply call out and tap a few buttons and collect their money.
Anyone know if there is an easier and cheaper solution?
The alarm is multi zone and the made is Securewatch HKC.
Sounds like you have a comercial system and it is split up in to 3 blocks, correct me if I am wrong. If you do then you should have a maintenance contract, 220 sounds ok for a once off commercial call out.
