I notice that the taxes and charges that are added to our airline tickets seem to vary from country to country and the charges seem to vary from airline to airline. Are Aer Lingus charges dearer/cheaper than Ryanairs? What countries in Europe charge higher/lower taxes than others?
I am mainly thinking of the countries that are serviced by flights out of Dublin.

I think they vary from airport to airport rather than from country to country.

As far as I know it's one of the reasons Ryanair fly to smaller airports just outside main cities. So Aer Lingus to Charle de Gaulle in Paris charge 50.10 for taxes&charges plus 5.00 handing fee, Ryanair on same dates to Beauvais just outside Paris show taxes, fees and charges of 36.41.
