I'm not taking the pi..s but we have received a travel advisory stating that All Nippon Airways at Tokyo airport are asking passengers to empty their bladders before boarding ANA flights. The airline claims that if everyone were to do this they would save money
"By the end of a longhaul flight there are thousands of gallons of waste that mean extra consumption of fuel ..etc etc... ..we are asking passengers ,not forcing them.. for a trial period only "

i kid you not ! to think that O'Leary didnt suggest this first !
 
He might bring in a checkin machine to measure your bladder size instead of your hand luggage!
 
It makes sense. Aside from the cost, think of the waste involved in transporting thousands of litres of **** between continents.
 
O'Leary did mention this one before I watched him on a clip Youtube yesterday and he mentions this. He wasn't messing either.
 
i suppose it's not the weight of the wee, but the weight of the flushed water that goes with it..
 
Planes use a vacuum flush system. Stops water sloshing around when entering turbulence etc.
