If you couldn't find this yourself then you probably shouldn't be considering such an investment option.

Does anyone know the success rate of planning permission being granted for such, presumably its very low if not zero… making buy to let airbnb effectively illegal

And still there’s thousands of airbnb’s available to let for all varying durations in Dublin

I heard application rates were low and most were being denied. Another challenge you have is finding a property where the lease does not prohibit letting, a feature of pretty much every apartment and managed development in recent times.

You are still permitted to let your own property for up to 90 days each year without seeking change of use permission. So many will be availing of that while rates are so high.
