AIB Student MasterCard & FX

I have an AIB Student MasterCard and I need to use it to pay for accommodation in London during the summer as I am going to LSE. Is there a maximum they can charge me for fx costs on each transaction? I need to make two transactions of about 1200 and 1400 sterling.

Credit cards don't usually have a maximum % for non-euro purchases - check with AIB. It's 1.75% according to the surveys on itsyourmoney.ie but not sure if it's the same card you have. Paying for your accommodation this way could turn out expensive. Tranferring the money might work out cheaper especially as AIB will most likely take a cut on the rate they use to exchange from sterling to euros.
