Our solicitor has asked AIB if title needs to be qualified before we drawdown our mortgage. Has anyone else gone through this with AIB and, if so, was it resolved quickly enough? She’s querying this due to unknown ownership of a shared laneway for access to the back garden and the fact that our surveyor stated that the boundaries “appear to be in order” but wouldn’t 100% say all is in order (he said he can’t 100% say due to insurance reasons, but could see no issues, and was surprised our solicitor was making such a deal over this). The property is a standard 1930s suburban house in Dublin with a no extensions/additions and a regular rectangular plot.
