Recently switched mortgage to AIB and availed of the fee-free banking current account.
One thing to note. The monthly mortgage direct debit needs to come from the AIB current account, otherwise quarterly fees will still apply.
We had our mortgage direct debit linked to another banks current account, and so incurred fees at the end of September. However, I rang AIB today, and they refunded them. Not sure if this is a new policy or if it was in place already, but wanted to bring it to people's attention.
