AIB laser card in UK and exchange fees

Hi all,
do you know if I can use my AIB Laser card in London and if the exchange EUR-GBP in this way is more convenient rather then going to the airport/city exchange offices?

The laser facility on your card cannot be used outside of Ireland. However, your card may also have a Cirrus or Maestro facility which is international.
Check the card to see if either of these symbols is on the card,

You'll be able to use it to withdraw cash from almost all ATM's. However, paying for goods with the card may/may not work.
