AH mortgage - anyone applied recently?

Hi All,
I was on to SDCC again yesterday and they have said we will be offered something in the next couple of weeks.
I was just wondering if anyone had applied for AH mortgages with the banks lately, and if they are giving out.. and if they are under what conditions? 3% deposit? Or more considering current market.
Did anyone have loans (car etc) when applying? And were they asked to clear them or looked unfavourably upon due to them?

Also was anyone NOT in a permanent position applying?

I'm currently contract on pretty good salary (way better than when I was first approved under the scheme), but my co-buyer currently not working. I'm also high on the panel for a civil service post. Would they take this into account??
My co-buyer has her deposit and I'm saving for mine (and my parents will make up the shortfall, on 3% deposit might be a few hundred quid).

Just nervous that we have waited so long to get a place that will we be turned down at the last hurdle.. :(

Hi,
best advice.....go to a broker. They'll be able to search out the best possible option for you given your circumstances. I definitely wouldn't apprach the banks directly....they were absolutely no use to me even though I had 12k savings, no loans, permanent job.....and this was 8 months ago.
Broker all they way in my book.....plus saves you doing all the ringing around.
 
i got a good deal with ulster bank 2yr fix 100% mortgage at 4.9 apr.
i had to pay 8k deposit to the builders, 3k on the day i expected the apartment and the other 5k 21 days after. you will probably have to lose the loan or move it to somebody elses name.
simplymortgages.ie were good when i dealt with them
 
I got an affordable mortgage from BOI in November. I got 97% of €205,000.

Salary €45,000, permanent job.
Had to pay off car loan.

Variable rate going down to 3.6% with the latest ECB Rate cut. No problem in getting it though
 
i went to a broker as well - got a good rate with Haven (who are EBS) and are on the affordable housing list of lendors

Do you mind me asking what rate you got?
I got full loan approval in Sept for a tracker rate of ECB (4.25 back then) +1.45 from haven, loan offer has expired so have to apply again. Just curious to see what rates they are offering now.

Hey don't think any of the banks are offering trackers anymore. As far as I am aware they withdrew them from the market in October. I am with Haven (EBS) and although it's variable they have passed on all of the recent decreases. Happy days! The rate has just changed again so not 100% sure what it is at the moment but their website should tell you.

Yeah I know trackers are gone, pity, will prob be going with variable now.
