AH in Cashel or Thurles

Might be good idea to ring Tipperary county council and ask them what the situation is with their schemes etc. I found this on their website.

Action Plan for Social & Affordable Housing 2004-2008

The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government has requested Local Authorities to prepare comprehensive Social and Affordable Housing Action Plans covering the next five years, on which the future allocation of housing resources by the Department will be made.
The Action Plan herewith relates to the administrative area of North Tipperary County Council, and the three Town Council areas of Nenagh, Thurles, and Templemore, and covers all housing services. An overview of the main thrust of the Action Plan is set out hereunder:

I can only speak for cashel as we were looking over a year ago when there were 3-4 estates offering affordable. The newest estate is the steeples on the dualla road. As far as I know it's the newest estate gone up so there might be still some available. Contact Clonmel County Council. I think Thurles has a different co council contact.
We're here a year and as a town it's all we wanted and more. The nightlife is great, there are some great shops with Tesco and a new hotel on the way.

Thurles is north tipp county council where as cashel is south tipp. Templemore (north as well) might be worth considering as well. Has excellent train link to Dublin, portloise etc

Can someone explane what is the Affordable Housing Action Plan and how it works.Please.
