Agadir Morocco

Thinking of booking a week in Agadir, self catering for last week in March. Looking for nothing special just a week to relax. What is the resort like, is the city itself within walking distance of the touristy resort. Don't know whether to go for 2 or 3 star self catering. What are food shops/supermarkets like for groceries(breakfast/lunch). Would like reccomendations for good restaurants. Can you expect the same weather as the Canaries.

What is the resort like, is the city itself within walking distance of the touristy resort?

The city largely is a tourist resort — it was destroyed by an earthquake and rebuilt from scratch in the early 60s. Even if you're only there for a week, try and catch a day trip or two to places like Fez/Meknes/Marrakesh — well worth it.
