hi there, off to agadir in morocco early november, was chasing the last of the sun and something different

any tips on theresprt? staying the oasis hotel heard its nice,

stayed there in March 03.

Weather is basically the Canaries.
Food is not great, a lot of places close in low season.
Hotel standard is high as Agadir was destroyed in an earthquake in the 50's so basically rebuilt.
Would recommend a day trip or two to Marekesh (sic), also visit to older parts of town and the Soouk (sic).
Eat a good bit in Pizza hut cause food not the best, they dont seem to have much meat in their dishes.
You will get annoyed by every Tom and Dick trying to sell you something, just keys the eyes in front and ignore, they get ratty and insulted if you spend time and then don't buy. Haggle when buying.
Beach is fantastic, its bloody huge, long and deep, you will get a really good blanket for about 20 euros.
If you have a bit of French you can use that, but English is understood almost everywhere so you should have no worries.
Tip well because you will see that the workers are not paid the best.
Enjoy and give your own feedback when you get back.
Oh, I think you can only get their currency over there and they dont like you taking it home with you, also you will have to fill out loads of forms.
Finally, ever wondered where all those Peugeot 406's and other French cars end up when they're scrapped......
