Affordable Housing with Meath County Council

Hi, looking to talk to anyone that has applied to Meath for affordable housing?

Are the waiting lists, response times and service as bad as what I've heard about Fingal.
Would not mind living in Kells, Bettystown etc as its only down the M1 for me but am not into the waiting and hassle that I've heard people experience with Fingal.

Anyone any stories about Meath County council, good/bad or indifferent?

Was just reading some of the old posts on Affordable housing - I am also on the Meath List - did you get an offers yet?

I've been on the list in Meath for about a year now, I've been offered one place so far but it was above my maximum purchase price so had to turn it down.
They seem fine to deal with and quicker then Dublin City AH.
