Affordable housing wicklow

Hi

i am on the affordable housing list in Wicklow, got a letter the other day asking for a letter from the bank stating the maximum amount i can borrow. I haven't been offered anything from them. Is this normal?
 
Got the same letter on friday was speaking to BOI they said it was not normal. What area is your first preference?
 
I have Bray down as my first preference and then Greystones! Not holding out much hope though.
 
I was hopful that it was a sign that they were going to start allocating properties in the development I had applied for but I'm in West Wicklow so they must have sent it to everybody who has applied for affordable housing
