affordable housing offer

hey guys i,m a new user here but have been following related threads for last few months. i hope someone can help me out with some information, basically i applied with my partner about 18 months ago for an affordable house but we split up 6 mths ago. i have just received an offer of a 3 bed house from them today does anyone know if i let them know that me and my partner are no longer together will the offer be retracted because of this. i rang my ex today and basically has no problem with me accepting the house if it is still offered to me on my own.
 
it comes down to your financial circumstances - if the offer was based on a joint income to be affordabe for you (in the councils estimation) then it shouldbt be an issue as lots of single people have got 3 bed properties - but the offer was made for a joint application (i am assuming) so you will have to tell them sooner or later that your circumstances have changed in thagt respect - but if you financial circumstances have not changed as regard affording the property then let them know and get that out of the way
 
i would be able to afford it on my own and the pre approval from banks that i got was actually calculated from my earnings alone. i originally applied on my own but added my partner to the application a few weeks later as i had heard from friends who had applied on their own that the only offers being made to single applications were for two bed houses and apts, as i wanted a 3 bed house i added my partner to it, my fear now is that if i let them know we have split up they will retract the offer of the 3 bed house.
 
If your ex's name is also on the application their name might also end up on the deeds as an owner which may affect their first time buyer status . . . and if you were to specify that it not be on the deed wouldn't the council at that point find out you are in it as a single buyer?
 
my mortgage is being supplied by a bank and not by the council therefore they will be dealing only with me and my name will be only one on mortgage. i,m really nervous as to whether to let them know we have split up in case they dont offer the house anymore and if i dont they would know anyway when its time to sign agreements.

Hiya,

Could you tell me wether it was the county council or the city council that offered you a house?
