I was just wondering if anyone could help. I was approved by fingal in nov on the local list as ive being living in the final area for >5years. Could any1 tell me when im likely to receive a offer. I was told anything from 6 months to a year. Also was wondering does any1 know where wud be up for grabs in the swords malahide bayldoyle in around 6months to a year area cause that would be my ideal location. Thanks

I reckon you should be offered fairly quickly (couple of months) considering you are living in the local area of fingal. So keep saving. From reading previous threads, Forest Road in Swords seems to have affordable housing being built there at present. As far as I am aware the new estate in Baldoyle " The Coast " hasnt allocated their affordable properties as yet (well this is what fingal told me). I have to say Fingal are excellent for offering properties and the sales team are very nice to deal with. (well in my opinion :) ).

Thats great to hear. dident think it would be that quick. I know the 1s on the forest rd they have about 120 houses. Do u know how many is in baldoyle? any1 know the price ranges yeat on both?

Can anyone tell me where this Forest Road in Swords is? I want go check it out after work, thanks.

Not sure how many is being offered in Baldoyle but in an estate nearby fingal offered a 1 bed apt for 178,000euro so I reckon it would be around the same price range. Forest Road in Swords is located across from Airside retail park at the back of BROIMHE (think thats how you spell it) not sure exactly where the development is though !!!.

Im waiting on a three berroom house. I think il be waiting a while cause i think a lot of developers just give the money instead of building the afforable housing around swords malahide and baldoyle. U wer close its Boroimhe and its just near the end of the forest little rd.

Hi, I'm just new to the forum and new to afforable housing, just sent away forms.
Just wondering , how long do you reckon i would be waiting to hear from somebody? and also do you reckon its has gotten so popular that its going to be hard for me to get somewhere in the malahide/howth/portmarnock/baldoyle area?both myself and my partner are from the area.
Thank you

About six weeks if everything is okay. If theres anything wrong with your savings record they may get back to u sooner. U get called for a interview. Discuss the scheme etc. Then if everything is okay the give you proviosnal approval. you's will be put on the local list if use have being living in the area for 5 years or more. Then its a waiting game. With regards themalahide/howth/portmarnock/baldoyle area since your on the local list u have a better chance of geting somewhere. No idea on length of time. I think if u limit urself to area u just have to wait. Im in the same position so ur not the only 1.
