affordable housing in Bweeng, Cork

anybody out there get or apply for affordable housing in bweeng co cork
 
My brother was offered Affordable Housing in Bweeng. The houses themselves are actually fairly well built and spacious. Relative to the rest of Cork, they're cheap. However, the big problem is that Bweeng is in the middle of nowhere. You can forget about any nights out in the city, decent shops or much of anything to do!

Unless you're working near the likes of Kanturk, I wouldn't touch these places with a barge pole.
 
Hi all, am new to this site, a friend of mine applied for a house in bweeng in January and has already got an offer, is it always this fast or is it just the location. i have applied with cork county concil for affordable homes in Glanmire but dont know if im even in with a chance nor do i think i will know in the near future as there still processing applications, i think the deadline was June 26th, did anyone else apply for these houses.
