Affordable housing - General Questions

Hi, just thinking about registering my interest in the affordable housing scheme with cork county council..... has anyone any hints on the paperwork and the application process. I know its closed til next June but if i get in now they said it would on file for the next round. I also dont know if i'll get the mortgage - kinda in construction but it looks safe enough right now.
Any general info also hugely appreciated - first time getting into all this so packing a small brick too hahahahahhaha.............

hi, just make sure you have every thing included with your application..ie payslips p60s,p21 proof of savings/rent.We applied to fingal in dublin in november 07, got our approval in feb 08 and got our house in may 08.Would def recommend aff housing....Banks wud only offer us €200,000 if we were to buy on open market.

I would just second what Jen said. Make sure you include every peice of information they look for just to speed up process. They do everything by post, they wont just ring and say you forgot such and such and let you send it in, they will send back your whole application!
I applied to Kildare in Sept 07, got an offer in Jan 08, moved in June 08 so a happy camper with affordable housing here
