Affordable housing Dunlaoghaire Rathdown-Parkview, Belarmine & Thornwood

Thanks Lucie, that would be great. Now that I know I'm on the list I can start to hope. I'd love to get a larger one too. Though in the show apts I actually liked the smaller one.

Not trying to disappoint you, but these apts are not like the "normal" parkview ones, I've seen the show apartments for them too and they are Fab. These aren't the same.

Yes, thanks.. I need to be reminded. I'm dying to see what they're like. It's gas that they throw up different builds with the higher prices for the affordable block.
 
I think the "normal" parkview are lovely very nice indeed, but our block is pretty good too, it has a lot of good points as well, like the green in front of the apt block, and i think it will be quieter at night. and one thing else because it is affordable you are not allowed rent out the apt as a whole, so you will know that your neighbours are owner occupiers who will have respect for there property.
 
yes I agree Ruby, the apartments are in a nice spot near the green and aren't too overlooked. I'm not sure where the halting site is meant to be going in relation to them tho.
 
as far as i am aware the halting site is going to be on that land with the sign saying Social & affordable housing on it, the enterance is off the main road. are you concerned about the site?
 
BSQ: Called on Friday - the latest from the council is the offers will be sent out "in the next week or two"

So no progress being made at all.
 
it's so frustrating.... they've been saying that since Christmas! It's a pain cause I know we'll have a fight on our hands when the offers are made with the market value price. it's frustrating especially when we are paying so much more than other AF developments
 
Same story as usual so. Hopefully its not a case of them getting valuation after valuation until they get one that they prefer!!! From my chats with them, it sounded like this valuation company wasn't the first set of valuations that they had gotten for the apartments.
 
Thats great, congrats! What were the council valuations like compared to reality?
 
Mental alright. What were you all expecting the value of them to be on the open market or was that valuation ok? I'm down for Beacon, we are still waiting on the valuations to be finalized before they send us out the letters Which is a bit mad really considering how long ago they had us in viewing
