Hi was wondering if anyone who reserved a property with fingal council recently for balbriggan or kinsealy have received final loan approval back yet or not?
 
Hi, I reserved a property in Kinsealy. Placed my deposit down but havent heard anything as yet re loan approval.
 
Hi, Couple of questions. Hope u can answer. How long where u waiting after loan approval? Are u happy with where u got? And the price range?

As I was not on the local list, I had to wait awhile before finding my property. In saying that I had been offered several properties before finding one that had the wow factor for me and the area that I liked. They offered a 1 bed ground floor for 195,000 and a two bed duplex for 208,000 / 3 bed duplex 219,000. As the loan amount is 185,000 you have to come up with the balance yourself or else opt for the shared ownership scheme. I opted for the mortgage however I was quite shocked when I saw the amount repayment -especially since these properties are affordable housing and the fact that I placed a large deposit on same.

I am hoping to snag the property soon so fingers crossed.

Thanks, i hope i do two. Only 2 months on the local list so i know il be waiting a while yeat. I think its just a matter of luck on getting offerered places. From reading this site it seems some people wait ages and other get quick offers. Its very strange.
