Aer Lingus Website & prices

I've been monitoring the prices of certain flights I wish to take in the New Year for a specific destination & date. I've noticed that the prices fluctuate up & down without a pattern. Recently they dropped only to increase a few days later. Does anyone know how the prices are calcuated per seat? Should I book now or could they drop again? I've also noticed this with other airlines? Is there some method to the madness with the seat pricing?

Was just commenting on this yesterday. Buying airline tickets is getting more and more like day trading.

I've finally lost patience with Aer Lingus after my most recent flight to the States. I asked two or three times for a Pen to fill in the Immigration Cards, I kept being told they'd "check if they had one". Normally I carry a pen when I travel, but on this occasion I didn't have one. If you don't have a pen tell me, don't keep telling me you'll check.

They no longer even provide blankets on Long Haul flights. You have to ask for one, and the answer is allways "I'll check if we have any".

Perhaps their new slogan should be "Aer Lingus, Let's see if we have what you want."
