Aer Lingus Price Increase to NY!

Anyone spot the Aer Lingus price increase on long haul flights (to NY)? There was a lot of fuss yesterday on the news about reducing the fuel surcharge by 10 euro each way. However, our friends in Aer Lingus forgot to mention that they would also be increasing the base price by 50 euro each way!!
 
YES - I seen that today as i was going to book yesterday and waited til today! Disgusted!
 
Good old fashioned corporate greed.

Why not vote with your feet and book with another airline? Apparently Continental Airlines offer competitive rates to the U.S.

Alternatively use the money to buy in airline stocks and cash in on the profits they'll make from these price hikes. That way everyone's a winner.
 
apparently aer lingus are linking up with a budget operator in usa,its not going to happen till september or so,fingers crossed.[blue jet]
