Booking a flight at the moment, fare is €324 plus €80 fuel surcharge!!! How the hell can Aer Lingus continue to justify this surcharge, it was put on when oil prices were at record highs. They are now lower than they have been in years.

Any thoughts?

Rant over!!

They're just doing what most other long-haul carriers are doing or have done. It's still relatively cheap... assuming it's a trans-atlantic flight.

Eh... no they're not.

Any thoughts?

Fly with someone else/cheaper?

The point I was making is the surcharge was added because oil prices were going up, these rises have now stopped and the price of oil has fallen to mid to early 2005 levels yet the surcharge is still being applied.
