I am due to fly with Aer Lingus next week on a short break?

I am bringing a carry on case under 13ib weight etc. Can i also take a small ruck sack on board as well? Are Aer Lingus strict on this, i.e bringing only one item on board or does a small rucksack constitute a bag?

As far as I know, ladies can take a case and a handbag on board?

Any ideas out there?

I have taken a camera bag (largish) and dvd player bag whilst other half has taken handbag plus a.n. other small rucksack, never been a problem, that's not to say that they won't stop you taking it on, strictly speaking one should only have one bag plus small bag such as a handbag. I'd say you have very good chance of being allowed on with it with AL, Ryanair, now that's another story !!

If you're going to the UK you might like to check the local arrangements at the airport you'll be flying home from - some UK airports only allow one bag through their security (including handbags, rucksacks, plastic bags etc).

I am flying to Faro, the ruck sack I will be taking to the beach, its not that big. I was going to have my camera, travel docs books etc. in it
