Hi
We currently have a tracker mortgage with Ulster Bank. Whilst in arrears for a number of years we have always engaged and had alternative arrangements in place. Currently, since beginning of April this year, we are now in a step up arrangement whereby we are to make full payments and an additional 100 euros of the arrears which stand at 27,000. Thankfully we are now in a position to make full payments on the mortgage and will continue to do so.
So worried that are mortgage might be part of the sell off by Ulster Bank which was announced last week. I read an article in the Irish Independent which indicated that mortgage holders would not know until the sale was agreed but would then receive a letter to confirm if the account was being sold and if so, have 90 days to come to arrangement with the bank.
I would really welcome any advice from other users who may have been involved in the previous sell off by Ulster Bank a number of years ago. How did it go. Problems with vulture funds etc.
Many thanks
