Advice regarding ROS website

Hi All

Im trying to claim tax back for 2004 online. However, when i log into the ROS site it only shows back to 2005 in the drop down menu. When I select 2005 and for example click to claim refuse charges, it ask for amount paid in 2004.

Can someone clarify if the medical expenses entered here are for 2004 or 2005 as Im slightly confused?

I don't think that the online PAYE system goes back beyond 2005. You will probably need to contact them directly about 2004 tax issues. Obviously you probably need to do this ASAP with the holidays coming up.
 
As far as I can recollect - you enter the amount for the previous year - ie you enter say 400 in refuse charges this year 2008 and you get your rebate in 2009.
Works same way for medical expenses.
Go to 2005 and enter your amount quickly as that year will disappear very soon!
 
its 2004 paid services charges that are relevant for 2005 tax return so ROS is correct

Edit: to say that medical expenses are claimed in the year that they are paid, ie: 2008 medical expenses go in 2008 tax return.
