Have a mortgage with my girlfriend in both our names. House is registered in her name.
Do we both need to apply for TRS to receive the Max amount (4,000 per annum) ?
And if this is the case would I then lose out on my First Time Buyers Grant in the future (current house is in her name) ?
If the mortgage is in both your names you can both claim TRS. Not sure you can have your name on a mortgage and still claim to be a first time buyer. So far as I know you should now have lost this.

She has applied for TRS and we are receiving.
If I apply now does this mean we will then get double what we are currently getting ?
Thanks PM1234 - I wasn't sure whether or not I was classed as a FTB as the house is registered in her name.
She has applied for TRS in her name/PPS no. etc. - is there any point in me applying in my name/PPS no.etc....will we get any extra TRS ?
I guess what I'm trying to say is does the TRS apply to the mortgage or to the individuals?
