Advice on loan approval

Just got loan approval - boyfd is living in London so wasn't even considered for the loan amount, but we are splitting everything down the middle...
How much hassle is it to get his name on the deeds as soon as possible? is it costly?

and any advice for our situation? I dont want to be soley resposible for a house!
