Hi,
This is my first posting on askaboutmoney but I'm an avid fan of the site.
I'm considering my first investment property purchase outside Ireland.
I've considered several countries but have more or less decided on Germany and Frankfurt in particular for a number of reasons. Stable economy that is hopefully growing again, and property prices that have lagged rest of western Europe. I'm not looking for quick buck but rather for an investment property that I will keep for medium to long term and that will provide a decent yield - hopefully min 5% net, and reasonable capital appreciation.
I'd be very interested in hearing other peoples views on this. Is Germany a good bet or should I look elsewhere. If anyone has purchased a 1 or 2 bed apartment in Frankfurt, I'd be interested in hearing of your experiences, and if you can recommend a local agent, all the better. PM me if you wish
