Advertise yourself and estate agent

What happens if you advertise your house for sale yourself and use Estate Agents to advertise too. If you get an offer from your advertisment are the EA entitled to a fee etc etc or do you just pay them for their time and advert costs and take it off the market and process the sale yourself!!

It depends on your agreement with them. I believe that if you appoint a sole agent then they are entitled to claim their fees. The contract usually has a time clause in it.

thanks for that. i have only got a letter stating their advert fee etc nothing states that they are the sole agents!
