Adv says 6.5% gross(ear 4.5%) which do I get?

Before dirt tax do I get the 6.5% gross or 4.5% ear as advertised in todays Independent with BOI?
 
I didn't see the ad but I imagine that the 6.5% is over 15 months?

The ear would be correct annual rate.

I saw the ad and the rate of 6.5% over 18 months. I think it's a bit of a misleading advert myself. You would expect to see interest rates shown as annual rates - and the fact that is is over 18 months is shown - but in much smaller writing.
