adopt a tiger, soft toy question...

i hope i have the right forum. it's so hard to tell...

i have just adopted a tiger through a website and will be donating monthly by direct debit. i also paid a once off delivery charge but i keep reading that the soft toy is "optional". has anyone else done this before because maybe you can answer my question?

do i get the toy after paying the once off charge and setting up the dd? is the charge in order to get the toy?

I paid a one-off fee before, so not continuous payments. We did get toy & pack straight away, then 3 updates during the year I think. Our tiger got lost somehow from what WWF told us!
