Hello,
Would like my son to be involved in sports(martial arts, football) or music/dance or drama or other activities from the early childhood.
He is 3 yrs.

What options are available and where?
I live in Lucan area.

Hi: Yeah Lucan Sarsfields is probably one of the better outlets for youngsters. However at 3 he is probably a wee bit too young. L/Sarsfields run nurserys for football on Saturday afternoons (except for holiday wekends) from 2 to 3 at their clubhouse; for hurling in Willsbrook Park on Sundays from 10 - 11 and camogie nursery is held for young girls. I only have boys so don't know much about camogie. My youngest lad who is now 5 started about 6 months ago and is really getting into it now. You should bring him up some Saturday and see would he take to it at this stage but as I said he probably needs to be a bit older so that he can follow the coaches orders.

Edit: Don't bring him to hurling yet. Your heart would not take the frights and the child might get scared away from the sport if he got hit hard early in his hurling career.
