I recently had acrylic nails applied, and within a week, they were lifting and the regrowth was very very noticeable.
They were on special offer of 40e and when she had finished applying them I made a further appointment to have them refilled about two and half weeks later. This is a well known highly regarded high street combined beauticians and hairdressers.
I phoned to say that they looked awful due to the lifting and was told I should have used solar oil,as if you don't use it,the nails can lift.
I did use it,a lot .
I then asked how much it would cost to have them removed and was told it would be 30e.
My point is that the beautician was not prepared to either fix them, redo them or remove them for free based on the fact that they were in a deplorable state.
I have had them applied many times in the past and this has never happened.
I do a fair bit of business with them, and they are a team of two,who co own the place.( The beautician part of it.)
The nails were lifting so much that I was able to flick them off! so they are gone now,ten days after having them put on.
Is there anything I can do now,or do I just put it down to experience and not do anymore business with them in the future?
