accounting costs for small ltd co

What would be an acceptable annual fee to pay an accountant for a small ltd co with 9 employees and turnover of less than €1million, incl payroll?

Also how much should an accountant charge for personal end of year tax returns ( mostly rental income)?

Lion, others here will know more than me, but more information is needed to give a correct answer -
is the accountant being employed as an employee full time in the company or an external person / accountant ?
are they doing the audit or just preparing the accounts - once a year or every month ?
You mention payroll - are they doing vat and all the books also ?

Would add more questions to the above.

What is the level of transactions? How many sales and purchases invoices are there per month?

Are the employees paid weekly or monthly? This will determine how many payslips will have to be created.

PAYE and VAT have been mentioned. Does the business need to be making RCT returns too?

Windyday - unless the company has been behind with their annual returns to the cro, they will be able to avail of the audit exemption, if the directors so wish.
