account with Keytrade, intend holding for several years, Day or GTC

Hi,

I opened an account with Keytrade. I intend on holding shares for several years at a time. My question is when placing a trade should I pick Day or GTC?

I was under the impression if I making a market trade it didn't matter as the order would be filled at the current price.

You are right. It doesn't matter. Day or GTC for Limit orders only. Actually my broker's software hide it when I pick market order.
