Accomodation in Provence ?

Hoping to go to France late August early September. Finding it very difficult to find accommodation at a reasonable price - looking in the usual web sites. Can anyone reocommend accommodation - self catering or hotel in either Aix-En-Provence, Avignon or Orange?

I am also looking for self catering in the same area for September 5th for 2 weeks.
