Accommodation near RDS?

I'll be coming to Dublin to the RDS in the near future. As I'm not too familiar with the area, could anyone recommend good hotels nearby? Also, how far is it in a taxi from the airport (not via the scenic route!). Thanks.

Bewleys Ballsbridge is fairly reasonably priced-2 minutes walk to the RDS.

Don't bother with a taxi from the airport-Aircoach is much cheaper and is comfortable. Goes to the RDS/Ballsbridge area.

Any other hotels nearby that you might recommend - don't mind paying extra for something special....
 
If cost is not an issue then the Four Seasons is across the road from Bewleys and on the boundry of the RDS

All of these are between 2 and 10 min walk at very most.
Four seasons is excellent and herbert park also nice if a little corporate.
 
Believe that Jurys Ballsbridge and Berkeley Court have very good deals on now. Aircoach stops directly outside both and its a four minute walk to RDS. Bewleys/Four Seasons as mentioned earlier directly accross from RDS. Merrion Hall also directly opposite RDS but more of a large guesthouse than a hotel.
