Other Accident in advance of travelling claim

I have a trip coming up that I won't make due to an injury.
I'm with Multitrip on essential plan. I have paid for flights €260 for my wife and I but not accommodation? Can I claim on this and is the hassle of paperwork worth it ? Excess of €100 on policy.

Check the terms and conditions of your policy to see if you can claim. If you can then it's up to you to decide if a claim presumably yielding a maximum of €160 back is worth it. I don't know if such a claim might impact future travel insurance premiums?

Please be aware that the insurer may impose the excess on each person so check the small print in your policy. This is from the VHI Multi-trip T+C: "You pay the first €85 of any claim per Insured Person and this applies for most sections of Your policy."
