ACCA Qualification?

Hi,
I'd be very grateful for any advice people have about studying to get an ACCA qualification. I'm going to an open day in 2 weeks time but would like to have a better understanding of what routes are possible.
I'm 26 and currently working in a management accounts position so would be doing the course in the evenings and at weekends.
The main questions I have are: Roughly how long does it take to complete? On average, how many exams do people take per semester? How can you find out if your eligible for exemptions?(Have a BA in Economics and Finance).

I'd be grateful if anyone has any other advice/tips that they wish to share.

Not being smart but have you actually done any research for example on the exemptions. As far as I know ACCA publish what exemptions they give based on your degree etc and there is a specific number of exam papers you will need to sit, regardless with no exemption given. I think it applies to the second and third part.

The ACCA website is very detailed and will answer all the questions you have.

You will also need to obtain 3 years signed off relevant work experience before becoming a full ACCA member exams alone are not sufficient. Exams alone will earn you affliate status but no entitlement to call yourself an ACCA member

I typically did 2-3 papers each 6 months meaning I was fully completed all exams in two years. With exemptions received for the first 3. The exams are very tough but worth the effort in the long run!
