Hi there, I sold a flat 11 years ago which had absent landlord. I had to pay £300 to take out an indemnity policy for this, but my solicitor also asked me to pay £600 which eqated to the ground rent for the previous six years. Should I have had to pay this if I took out a policy and what has happened to the money. Do I have any right to appeal this after so long? Any help you have would be greatly appreciated.
