If someone where to take up the redundancy scheme offered by HSE at age 63, would they be able to claim JSB until 65?

Only a part-time worker with little service, so pension would be quite small and not enough to live on until state pension kicks in

If you will be available for and seeking full time work, and have sufficient Class A PRSI contributions, then you may qualify for Jobseeker's Benefit. JB is paid for a maximum of 12 months. If you are still unemployed at that stage, you can apply for the means-tested Jobseeker's Allowance.

If you pay Class D PRSI contributions (which clerical/admin staff recruited before April 1995 pay), you won't qualify for JB.

Can someone get Job Seekers Benefit if they are in a part time job and need to find a full time job for financial reasons e.g. a person working week on / week off for just 20 hours in the week they work i.e. average 10 hours per week overall?
