AA Car check

has anybody used this service when buying a used car?

have they found it value for money and how thorough was it?

Also is there any alternatives?

You might find that your main problem will be the wait - 2 weeks or more.

Carcheck provide a very good service, at short notice, for less money. (I have no connection)

Used them when purchasing a 2nd hand car...gave me some peace of mind as other than kicking the tyres I wouldn't have much knowledge.

When I sold that car, I decided upon a "purchase new car & run it until it won't run no more" strategy which has served me well so far! So I haven't used them since.

It was a while back, but I'm pretty sure they went out to look at the car within a day or so.

Who do you mean Kildrought - AA or Carcheck?

Maybe I was unlucky but when I phoned AA earlier in the year I was told I'd have to wait 2 weeks - not much use when you have your eye on a popular car. Carcheck looked at the car the next day.
