A summary of the safety of deposits

I think those of us concerned about the safety of our deposits would recognise everything in this piece, nothing new here.

I don't think the intention was to uncover or reveal new information that wasn't already in the public domain. But as I said, it's well worth a read for anyone who wants to educate themselves on the issues.
 
That is an excellent article Liam.

They should have highlighted that people with deposits should look at repaying mortgages and other borrowings as that is the safest use of deposits.

Yeah, it is a very well written article Liam.

It highlights many of the current risks as well as the limitations of our deposit insurance scheme.
 
Great piece, summing up the environment for deposits and potential issues affecting them very well, but most usefully outlining a strategy for mitigating risk at this time.
