Hi all,

Greatful if anyone can advise on the low profile shower trays.

I am aware that I can use low profile if the pipes will be running under the floorboards...which is possible as it is just being newly built.

It is an ensuite upstairs. What if the pipes and waste are under the floorboards and I run into problems with the waste pipes in the future....does this mean all the floor tiling would have to be ripped up?

Is it a better option to choose the easy plumb shower tray on legs?...would this mean easier access in furture should any problems arise and hence no ripping of floor boards?

Or does it matter at all...is low profile just nicer to look at?!

Problems are most likely to materialise at joints/traps. So if a problem arrises, then lifting the tray itself should be enough if the pipe from there runs straight out.

I cannot see it being very easy to lift the tray if it is sealed in and tiled, + how do you uncouple the pipes, would it not be easier to cut through the ceiling below?
