Looks like a good idea. If you fund €30 , you will get a copy of the book.
The Homehaus Concepts Book is designed for people actively involved or simply just thinking about building their own home. Whether you know exactly what you are building, when and for how much or just looking for ideas and guidance on where to start, there is information and ideas in the Homehaus Concepts book that will inspire and guide you on getting your project underway.
The book is A4 portrait in size and 208 pages, all in full colour and soft back cover.
The written copy gives a general overview to the key stages involved in a self-build project and are organised in the general sequence they occur. The detail gone into is just to give a basic understanding of the topic and point you in the right direction for further, more detailed information. Certain chapters will be relevant throughout a project e.g. in how to manage your ideas.
The visual part of the book is aimed at being a source of ideas, to help you identify some house designs or just elements that you do and do not like, what is achievable for your site if you already have one, size to budget and if planning a self-build as a couple or group, to work as a point of discussion.
The 60+ designs shown are for houses that have been built or the architect /designer’s original concept that before being changed during the project process. These designs are ideally to be used as reference with the original creator or as reference material with your architect or designer i.e. ‘we like the shape of this house, and room layout of this one and the material finishes of that one etc.’
All designs are presented as high quality 3D visuals, 3D floor plans and a 360° animation available online. Many of the designs are presented in a variety of finishes to show the effect material choice has on a building.
The book is ready to print, created in our spare time and through personal investment to get the 3D visualisation created, at a discount, thanks . To get the book on the shelves and into the hands of aspiring self-builders we need your help to raise €7000.00 in funding for printing a distribution.
This is a well designed book with a comprehensive starter guide to the self-build process and fantastic range of Irish house designs by some great local talent.
Thank you in advance for your pledge of support,
