I like this mortgage calculator

http://www.loanclc.com/

You can compare different loan variables simultaneously. For example, 200,000 @ 5% for 20 years, compared to 200,000@ 6% for 20 years.

It tells you prominently the interest element of the repayment which is very handy, although this is easy to calculate.

Thanks for that, Brendan

I liked it too, as it allows you to specify part-years (ie number of months) left on the mortgage as well as full years

Thanks Brendan for the recommendation.

I've actually updated the calculator today, and placed it on a separate site at http://www.loanclc.com

Feedback is appreciated.

Paul.

I like this UK mortgage calculator

You're more than welcome.
I found it useful myself when testing out the possibilities of changing interest rates. Necessity...
