95% mortgage for trade-up

Can anyone tell me if many lenders are offering 95% mortgages still? We are sale agreed and trading up but need 95% mortgage, broker is checking with ICS but is anyone else offering if for any reason we are unsuccessful with them. Thanks in advance for any advice

just kidding - try Halifax or EBS (broker will not have access to these) - they still appear to offer 95% for trade up's

Thanks a lot, we are with EBS at the moment on a variable rate so they are probably the best bet.

Halifax and bank of scotland are the same right? If so they are a no as we had a previous loan offer with them and because the sale fell through the last time and our letter of offer expired they won't honor it or renew it as the purchase is a different house from the original offer broker said they wouldn't offer 95% either as they are down to 90%.

They are part of the same group - but not "the same". The 90% rule for BOS does not apply to Halifax.

Halifax are still offering 95% switcher mortgages. Whilst they are one and the same group ( HBOS) they have not as of yet withdrawn 95% mortgages and 100% FTB mortgages for certain professionals from their retail branch's
