hi,

due to a house sale, my mother has the above to invest for one year. (Then she will probably need it to finance sale of new apt). Can someone please point her in direction of best deposit account to stash it. Not interested in shares etc. Mother very risk adverse!

Could someone please advise me on the same issue. I am getting nervous about having all my proceeds of a house all in one bank account. Are the banks safe?
 
Have a look at where this issue was comprehensively addressed. If worried, spread it between banks.
